Hello, fellow earthlings! If you are from Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, or Neptune, GET OUT! This page is strictly for Earth people. If you want to learn about Sir Isaac Newton, read on!

1) What did Isaac Newton do?

2) When was he born and when did he die?

3) How did he help society?

4) Was HE an earthling???

Isaac Newton (January 4, 1643- March 31, 1727) died when he was 84 years old. This was a long life to live back then. Isaac was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist, and theologian. He discovered the law of gravity and the spectrum of light. And yes, he was born on Earth. (P.S. Isaac Newton wasn't bald like this animated guy.)

Galileo, a scientist who died a little before Newton was born, had ideas about space. Newton took his ideas and proved Galileo was right by using math. FYI: Galileo's idea was that Earth revolved around the sun, not the planets and the sun revolving around the Earth. But Isaac doesn't always get credit. The German mathematician, Gottfreid Leibnez, claimed the invention of calculus, giving no credit to Newton, who demanded his share of credit. Devoted to new ideas, Isaac Newton is often called "The Father of the Enlightenment." One famous myth is that an apple fell on Newton's head, and he wanted to find out why. He explained why the moon did not crash into Earth. His study of gravity helped scientists in the late 1600s to understand better how our universe works. Isaac Newton was never married. http://www.audiomicro.com/free-sound-effects

Eric, why do you have to add your odd pizazz to everything? But, other than that, cool topic.
